As ~Eppy-dono pointed out to me, Jack said 'my only love is the sea' (when he thought Elizabeth was a boy hitting on him).
And Davy Jones says 'I am the sea! D:'

How is Jack and Davy in a romantic relationship “almost cannon”? The have proven in both books and movies that the two would not hesitate to kill each other through any means. Note: Sorry if this sounds rude, but I don’t understand your reasoning.
